wife of Governor Taft acknowledged McMillian's work stating that, "the books are excellent prevention tools and Ohio is blessed to have her." African American Charities honored McMillian as a Community Advocate, citing her books as excellent resource materials. McMillian has over ten years experience in working with families and children in the community
centers, drug treatment centers, churches, schools, hospital settings, and private organizations. She has utilized her knowledge as a Prevention Program Director, Family Support Coordinator, Clinical Coordinator, Counselor, Clinical Director, Educator, Mentor, Consultant and Lecturer.
